While Warner Bros.' The Flash faces yet another round of delays, now not set to release until June 23 of next year, the film has another potentially big problem on its hands too. This comes after its leading actor, Ezra Miller, found themselves in a world of legal trouble after being arrested in a Hawaiian karaoke bar on charges of disorderly conduct and harassment.

This isn't the first time that Miller has been in this kind of trouble, having also been accused of choking another woman in Iceland a couple of years ago. Now, as the actor prepares for his fifth DCEU entry next year, including Zack Snyder's Justice League and the Season 1 finale of Peacemaker, reports have hinted that his time with DC could be in serious jeopardy.

Most recently, inside reports mentioned that Warner Bros. held an "emergency meeting" to discuss options for Miller's future in the DCEU, during which the studio reportedly had the overall consensus that any upcoming projects with Miller, including any DC appearances, would be halted until next year. However, a new update has revealed that this may no longer be the case for the studio behind the superhero franchise.

In a recent story from IGN, a source from Warner Bros refuted the reports about the studio having an emergency meeting over Ezra Miller and the situation surrounding The Flash. The source said that this meeting never took place and dismissed the reports as an exaggeration.

What Does Ezra Miler's DC Future Hold?

Ezra Miller is unquestionably going through a rough patch in their personal life ahead of what should be one of the biggest movie releases of 2023. Even though The Flash completed filming nearly six months ago, with more than a year until its debut, Miller's actions have put their status with the franchise in real danger.

Even so, this latest news seems to indicate that Warner Bros. isn't discussing any sort of removal or recasting for Miller's Flash, at least not at the present moment. With Miller having already appeared in two canon DCEU movies along with the director's cut of Justice League and Peacemakerthe character appears set for a major presence in the future, especially with other actors seemingly done with their roles.

While Miller still likely needs to find a sense of stability in their off-screen life, the actor appears to still be tied to the DCEU for the foreseeable future. Whether that changes down the road is a mystery, especially considering the company's new merger with Discovery, but the hope is that things will work themselves out for all parties involved over the coming weeks and months.

The Flash is set to release in theaters on June 23, 2023, with Miller set to reprise the role of Barry Allen.
